The year 2020 marks the 200th anniversary of one of the oldest buildings on this Kingston peninsula – the Stone Frigate, affectionately called “the Boat” by the cadets of the Royal Military College of Canada. This momentous occasion is one of celebration within the Wing’s history and a part of the greater Canadian heritage. In the coming weeks, more information will be posted in regard to a Special Call for stories, memories/anecdotes, poems, photography and other artistic and literature pieces from ex-cadets, staff, and cadets, to create a Feature highlight section in the ARCH/l’Arc journal.
L’année 2020 marque le 200e anniversaire de l’un des plus anciens édifices de cette péninsule de Kingston – la frégate de pierre, affectueusement surnommée «le bateau» par les cadets du Collège militaire royal du Canada. Cette occasion capitale est une célébration dans l’histoire de l’escadre et fait partie du patrimoine canadien. Au cours des prochaines semaines, de plus amples renseignements seront publiés concernant un appel spécial pour des histoires, des souvenirs / anecdotes, des poèmes, des photographies et d’autres pièces artistiques et littéraires d’anciens cadets, du personnel et des cadets, afin de créer une section de faits saillants dans le Journal ARCH / l’Arc.
